BBQ/Pick nick with friends

Kailea had so much fun at this get together - that when it was time to leave - she didn't want to go - and she cried the whole way home. This is another reason why we look forward to moving closer to friends - so we don't have to be in the car for so long when she's whining.

Here she is though - with her good friends: Collin, Ethan, Rachel... and I don't want to get it wrong because I confuse these two little brothers - it's either Hyrum or Fabio.

Big sister

Kailea's going to be a big sister.

She's probably going to get a little sister - that's what the technician said - even though they've been known to make mistakes.

A Handful!

This kid is so hyper. I wonder how those women do it that have like 18 kids. I know the older ones help out but in the beginning when they have like 5 kids all under the age of 7 or whatever - that must be really hectic.

The thing about Kailea skipping her naps - well, sometimes I can convince her that she still needs a nap and sometimes she still takes naps but it takes a lot of convincing on my part.

I don't want to spoil this kid too much. I just want to love her.

She's really an angel and very sweet - but she is also full of so much energy and I need to get some of that energy she has.

Kailea - almost 2

Today we* went to the museum Kunst Licht Kunst. Kailea was so hyper and screaming a lot I didn't know what to do. I was amazed we got to stay for as long as we did and I was more amazed that we didn't get kicked out!

Next time I hope Kailea can control herself a bit more. It was fun though and I'm glad we went because now she is in bed and I don't hear her. Maybe she is actually asleep.

She's been skipping her afternoon nap the last week or so and It's been very difficult for me.

Yesterday I had to tell her - "it's okay if you don't want to sleep. You don't have to sleep. But you have to stay in your room and be quiet because Mommy needs some free time"

That seemed to work and I was able to work on some of my paintings (see cutekittypunk link)

because bloggerbot is dead - i no longer know how to post photos of Kailea - and since I'm not really all that computer/Internet savvy (I'm sure there are other ways - I just don't feel like figuring it out) I will no longer be posting photos of Kailea here at this blog... but feel free to browse what is here - I will leave it up for a while longer before I decide to perhaps... maybe... delelte the blog in its entirety... we'll see...

Yeah - I really like going for walks - can you see my smile - I'm all ready - let's walk n roll!

I really love balls - kicking them - and I like to watch the kids play soccer (voetbal - they call it here) - I like walking too, I need help walking - I'm getting better and better everyday - pretty soon I'll be doing it all by myself.

Hi! - there's mama in the background relaxing - and my Daddy - he's got a great smile - I get my dimples from him :-)

Mama says I'm a cutie patootie - I think she's right :-)

Here I am in Koln - eating outside in November - it sure was nice weather!
